Well, first of all, this is Mykah again! Right now I am exhausted because yesterday I had a indoor soccer game then went to the midnight showing of TWILIGHT!!!! I went to bed at 3 a.m. and got up at 6 a.m. for school and I want to go to bed but I really wanted to post this....
So my parents went to dinner with some friends and spencer, Averie is at a sleepover party, tad is at work, the twins are sleeping and I'm sitting on the couch typing this (I've hit the delete button more times than the correct key because I can't keep my eyes open).
Anyway................
I was being lazy and I cooked Bo and Grace french toast for dinner! They wanted to help and we like our french toast with cinnamon. Grace was sprinkling the cinnamon on and commented on how it smells yummy, this was our conversation:
GRACE: Mykah, can I just get some cinnamon on a spoon and try some?
MYKAH: No, its not really just for just eating plain.
GRACE: Why?
MYKAH: ...Because... It can make your throat close and you could die
(please understand that I DO NOT usually refer to 'you might die' on a regular basis but I figure in case she finds a thing of cinnamon in the future I might just be helping her out :) )
BO: Oh! Then who would be my brother???!!
MYKAH: Its okay Bo, she won't eat any
GRACE: Yeah Bo, its ok.... but then who would tuck me in?
MYKAH: What?
GRACE: ... like when i'm died in heaven, who would tuck me in bed? Oh wait I know! My favorite grandpa will tuck me in! He is waiting for us in heaven already! He will kiss my head and say 'I love you'
BO: Yeah grandpa would do that to me too
MYKAH: Yes, yes he really would
That was the end of it, I put them in bed and just went to turn off Grace's heater and I looked over at her face, and she looked really peaceful. I was happy to see that. I know she misses grandpa a lot. She makes little comments about him often... all so cute and nice. Its funny how one little stupid comment about cinnamon to a 4 year old can lead to another comment that just really gets you.

HEAVEN seems to be a big topic to the twins lately and in case anyone is wondering....Bo does not want to go there because he hates to fly! It's scary! They make you have wings in heaven and he really dosn't like that part! Why does he have to get wings? Why do we turn into a angel? Is heaven in the sky? Do we fly there? I hate to fly?? See it goes on and on and on and on.........
Great Post Mykah! Keep talking to them about your grandpa. They know him........frequent conversations are what will keep him "alive" in all of your hearts and memory :)
