It's finally done!

I think it is perfect.

Well almost....

Mr. Botts at Bountiful Monument is a total JERK!! If any of you get the "pleasure" of dealing with him in the future get EVERYTHING in writing in advance! Especially the estimate!! I do love it but the spacing on the dates, mostly Shar's, I don't know why there is such a huge gap. If you can't trust the headstone guy who the hell can you trust? Besides, he wants to do it HIS way, not YOURS. Well he will but then goes on & on how he knows, he has done this for years! You really shouldn't do it that way, it will not look good! Nothing like taking advantage of people when they are vulnerable.....when it is all said & done, literally "set in stone" & you have waited for months what else are you gonna do? He billed for almost double what he quoted (verbally) to my mother. We may have a lawsuit on our hands, I am so NOT excited!! I am really ready to "lay it all to rest".

....k, I am done complaining about that for now....

Moving on....

I have been helping my mom give her house a much needed make-over. In the process she had to empty all her bedroom drawers to change over to a new bedroom set. She found a card written to my dad in one of them. Aunt Judy had made the card & sent it in the mail...notice the date on the card... & the headstone....it was the same day dad passed away but he didn't go until 11:30pm so needless to say, he never got to see it. It made me cry when my mom read it to me but at the same time it makes me realize why it has been so hard & made me feel a little better & proud to be his daughter. He was a wonderful man & I, we, are not the only ones who thought so. I hope you can read it, I could have just typed it but didn't think it would be the same.
